The Reckon family has been in business since the 1920s, which is just shy of an entire century. If you think about it, the Reckon family has served this community for the past four generations, proving their dedication and standard of service in the plumbing industry. This dedication and their standards are definitely top notch.
Currently at the helm of Reckon & Reckon Plumbing is Steve Reckon and his son Spencer. As Spencer is now learning from Steve, Steve learned the ins and outs of the plumbing industry from his grandfather Joseph, father Herman and his uncle Seymour, also known as “Joe, Hy & Sy.” Steve remembers sitting at the kitchen table with his grandfather and dad who often reminisced over plumbing stories. What stuck with him most from these stories was his family’s dedication to their customers. “Son”, his father would say, “If you’re going to do a job, do it right the first time and every time. Treat the customers with respect and make their satisfaction the number one priority. Do this, and they’ll stay with you forever.” This is the foundation on which Reckon & Reckon Plumbing was built, and it is still the primary focus in the jobs they do to this very day.
This exceptional work ethic stuck with Steve in all aspects of his life. He originally went into teaching middle school while heading a plumbing repair business with his brother Jeff to supplement their incomes. After teaching for a few years, the brothers realized that they couldn’t get rid of the Reckon family itch to work in the plumbing industry. So they went into partnership with their father, following in the family’s footsteps and the rest is another page of history in the Reckon family.
Steve now runs this wonderful business that has been serving our Southern California neighborhoods for the past four generations. Reckon & Reckon Plumbing continues to provide top quality service at affordable prices to their satisfied customers. The customers always come first as they did when Grandpa Joe started his business in the 1920’s, and they will continue to come first to the Reckon family for generations to come.
